Sapphire Strings can offer a selection of demonstrations and workshops, tailor made to suit your needs. The demonstration lasts 30 minutes and is a collaborative performance, introducing the quartet and string family.

The quartet perform a selection of pieces giving a little background on the composer or style of music, as well as looking at a variety of different techniques - pizzicato, tremelo, glissando etc. The ‘audience’ are invited to participate throughout and ask any questions at the end. These sessions are guaranteed to be informative as well as lots of fun. The Quartet are happy to design this musical experience around a particular ‘theme’ you may be studying at the time, for example a ‘Whistle Stop World Tour’ or ‘Animals’.

The demonstration can be used in isolation or coupled with a follow up workshop, where smaller groups can then take a more active role in the music making.
